As many of you know, we were first introduced to our Elijah through a sponsorship program with the Philip Hayden Foundation.  At the beginning of this year their monthly newsletter challenged us to recruit “9 in ‘09″, meaning nine new sponsors in 2009.  I posted about this earlier this year in March here.    So far we have added just one new sponsor to our list of nine (thanks Anna Grace’s family!).  I wanted to repost this to encourage you all to pray about this and see if God is leading you to be a part of this amazing organization that is doing so much for China’s special needs orphans.  It’s only $35 a month, just a dollar a day, to make a difference in the life of a child.  As James 1:27 says, looking after orphans is pure religion.  If you are led to do this please let us know; we’d love to rejoice in this opportunity with you.
