Three birthdays

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Yes, our family celebrates three birthdays on the 4th of July.  Of course we celebrate the birth of the country that we are priviliged to be citizens of, but we also celebrate my sister’s birthday and my birthday.  Jennifer is two years older than I and Dad and Mom joke about “family planning”, but we never quite bought that.  Ha!  Anyway, Happy Birthday dear Jennifer.  I love you very much and am blessed to have you as a Godly example and encourager to me.  I miss you and long for times spent together, but am proud of how God is using you in ministry in Japan.

We had a fun celebration this year as Grandpa and Grandpa Wolfe are in the States.  Also Eric, Kate and Elle came over for the day.  I woke up to signs around the house and kids excited to spend a family day.  I think my favorite gift was from Michaela…a gift certificate for a day off cooking.  She plans to do all three meals and snacks for a day.  Yippee!  :)

Time with Grandparents

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Elijah got to meet his Grandpa and Grandma Wolfe for the first time on Wednesday.  They are in the States furloughing this summer from Russia and are spending a few days with us.  The kids are enjoying playing games and showing off tricks and creations for them.

We’re also continuing our swimming lessons and enjoying the time off school.  Summer is already going by very quickly!
